"Onneksi olkoon - Sinut on valittu Aalto-yliopiston tekniikan alojen kandidaattina Universidad Carlos III de Madrid:iin. Virallinen päätöskirje valinnasta ja apurahan myöntämisestä tulee myöhemmin postitse.


Seuraava askel on täyttää Universidad Carlos III de Madrid:in oma online-hakemus. Tämän voi tosin tehdä vasta sitten, kun olemme nominoineet sinut kohdeyliopistoon. Vielä emme ole päässeet nominointia tekemään, joten hakulomakkeen kanssa joudut vielä odottelemaan. Palaan asiaan heti, kun Madridista tulee vastaus (deadline hakemuksille on 15.5.).

Varsinaisen hyväksymiskirjeen lähettää aina vastaanottava yliopisto mutta kun lähetämme kandidaattimme sopimuksen mukaisesti, ei hyväksymisessä pitäisi tulla mitään ongelmia.
Jos sinulla on kysyttävää, lähetä sähköpostia tai tule käymään. Jos sinulla on suoraan Universidad Carlos III de Madrid:in opintoihin liittyviä kysymyksiä, niin kysy ne Madridista suoraan sillä he tuntevat ne asiat paremmin kuin me täällä."

So, I'm in. I'm one of Aalto University's exchange candidates for next year.

I have been SO overwhelmingly agitated for the last ten days or so that it has been nearly impossible for me to concentrate on anything. My deepest apologies to anyone who have had the 'pleasure' of being around this angry bear for the past few weeks, by the way...

I guess now it's time to start living again.

Umm... Does anyone know of any nice and cheap rentable apartments in Madrid, possibly in the Leganés area? Or if you just happen to live in such a place... Need a roomie?

"Chlorophyll (also chlorophyl) is a green pigment found in almost all plants, algae, and cyanobacteria. Its name is derived from the Greek words chloros ("green") and phyllon ("leaf"). Chlorophyll is an extremely important biomolecule, critical in photosynthesis, which allows plants to obtain energy from light. Chlorophyll absorbs light most strongly in the blue portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, followed by the red portion. However, it is a poor absorber of green and near-green portions of the spectrum; hence the green color of chlorophyll-containing tissues."

Chlorophyll... I sure hope that stuff proves to be fascinating... 'cause I'm going to spend my whole summer studying it at the Department of Micro- and Nanosciences here at Aalto University! I just signed a working contract for this summer. And on top of that, I agreed to write my Bachelor's Thesis on the subject. Why am I in such a hurry?

Hey, who cares! I can't wait, I'm too excited! Organic chemistry, here I come!

Although, it is slightly frightening that some of the equipment that I'll be using will be as valuable as myself.
